STDs may manifest themselves as non-urine related urethral discharge or as injuries on the glans penis, the foreskin (prepuce) or on other areas (perineum, anus, skin of the testicle). The diagnosis is made based on the patient's sexual history, an examination of the injuries or analysis of the discharge. Treatment varies depending on the infectious agents found and some measures in the patient's sexual activity are recommended. Below there is a brief description of the most common STDs.
